Hi all,
 
My name is Robert McCarthy. I am the Managing Director of GOSS
interactive Ltd (www.gossinteractive.com) based in Plymouth in the UK.
We are a CMS company, heavily involved in the public sector as well as
many large corporate organisations.  This background means we are very
interested in the semantic web and open linked data. 
 
Our key focus is on making this technology simple and useful for our
customers. We are particularly interested in what we call augmented
content creation, which is the ability for the CMS to allow every day
content contributors to publish semantically rich content (even though
they might not know it) which is automagically enhanced by appropriate
content from within and external to our content store.
 
In order to achieve this simple task we are currently leveraging, SOLR
as our search service, a rich metadata/taxonomy structure within the
core CMS, some NLP (key phrase extraction etc.) and critically, enhanced
by user-orientated learning algorithms, to ensure we don't end up with a
Microsoft paperclip. This is all working very well within our content
store but unfortunately the semantic part of the work is still at very
early stage, so nothing to demo yet. At the moment we are working on
mixing in a Jena based triple store and SPARQL endpoint, while the UI
guys are trying to figure out how to perform automatic RDFa injection
into our WYSIWYG editing interface without scaring our customers.
