[iks-community] Licence and reuse presentations of EA meeting

Hi all, hope you are fine.

As I'm not a star in CC licences I prefer to ask question before :

Many EA meeting's document are CC-by-nd licensed.

So, with the respect of "by" and "nd", can I extract just some slides 
(and not all the document) for use in another (personal - adapt to 
public) presentation ?
I will not modify extracted slides (respect "nd"), but I don't want to 
use all the document... Can I do that ?

If yes, could it be possible to have "sources" ? (pdf is a REALLY great 
pita for reuse... document equivalent for software bytecode).

Optional question :
- Why do you chose "nd" ? This seem not to be really "open", no ? If I 
well understand, we can't add our "patch" on it, that is true ?
