I cannot speak for others but all my own public presentations should
be found at http://www.slideshare.net/bdelacretaz (if not feel free to
ask) under a CC Attribution-ShareAlike license, so you're free to
remix, with attribution.

In my case no, just because it's not convenient. You should be able to
get decent images from the PDFs on slideshare.
